THINGS TO KNOW

Registrations must be received by 2/15/2019, and are first come first serve. Once camping registrations have reached capacity, a waiting list will be established.

Please remember to update your group numbers by 2/15/2019. We encourage you to be completely self sufficient. There is a convenient store on the main road on the Reservation. Please bring everything with you that you will need for your camping trip.

At least one person from every Scout Troop must be checked in by 8 pm on Friday. If you have made special arrangements to check in on Saturday you will need to check in at the office next to the rodeo arena. Campsites are assigned in advance and you must be escorted to your camp site.

Staff will inform you of SCOUT Camp and Parking areas at check in. Vehicles will be allowed in Camp area for unloading and loading purposes only and must be parked in designated areas. There are marked footpaths leading from Camp Area to Shootout grounds and to Immokalee Youth Ranch.

SCOUTS are responsible to keep camp areas clean and to police event grounds for trash. Staff will inform you of waste disposal procedure and dumpster location. Scouts must “Leave No Trace” upon departure.

Portable grills may be used for cooking. No open fires are allowed, except in established communal fire rings in camp areas, which have been stocked with firewood. Other meal options include: event food vendors and several small eateries within the community and the councilman’s lunch on Saturday. Portable grills in designated areas only.

Portable toilets, hand washing station, and shower trailer are installed.

SCOUT YOUTH must be attended to by CHAPERONES at all times. You are camping in a natural habitat where you may encounter Black Bears, Florida Panthers and variety of Snake species. Make sure to secure food items, carry flashlights at night and adhere to general camping safety guidelines.

NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS are permitted on the Immokalee Reservation. Curfew is 11pm, scouts and their chaperones are expected to be quietly in their campsites.

Emergency Medical Service / First Aid will be stationed near entrance to event grounds during public hours of operation.
Otherwise, if there is an emergency, please call 911 or S.P.D. at 863-983-2285.

NOTE: Scout groups must bring flag or banner and post at once before setting up camp site.
